Sioux Center United Reformed Church Installs New Pastor

On July 18, the United Reformed Church of Sioux Center, Iowa, installed Rev. Jon Bushnell as their new pastor. Rev. Christopher Gordon presided. The sermon taken from Acts 13:1-12, was entitled, The Gates of Hell Will Not Prevail. Rev. Quentin Falkena gave the charges to the minister and the congregation. Prayers were led by Elder Donald Roth and Rev. Spencer Aalsburg.

Rev. Bushnell is a graduate of Westminster Seminary California, and had served as the pastor of the First Christian Reformed Church of Prinsburg, Minnesota. At the request of the Sioux Center URC Consistory, with the intent to call Rev. Bushnell, he underwent and sustained a Colloquium Doctum at the spring meeting of Classis Central US of the URCNA.
